Bloomberg reports that base metals fell today on concerns that economic growth is slowing in the euro zone.

The market news is quoted as saying,

“With leading indicators expected to decline further, recession fears are likely to stay elevated and potentially even rise further,” Christin Tuxen, a Copenhagen-based analyst, wrote in a report e-mailed today.

Lead, zinc and tin also fell in London. Nickel rose, and aluminum was little changed.
