Base Metals Extend Slide as Italian Debt Takes Focus

Reuters reported base metals slid today as political and economic turmoil in Italy triggered newfound fears.

As quoted in the market news:

In other trades, tin eased $50 to end at $22,000 a tonne. It remained underpinned by the fact that 25 smelters in the world’s largest tin exporter, Indonesia, are maintaining a self-imposed tin ingot shipping ban until the end of December.
