Asian Moly Oxide Buyers on the Hunt for Lower Prices

Platts reported that Asian buyers of molybdenum oxide are looking to buy the material for under $10 per pound. The news outlet’s daily moly oxide dealer price sat at $9.90 to $10 per pound on Tuesday.

As quoted in the market news:

One or more Japanese buyers have reportedly purchased moly oxide at $9.90-10/lb CIF Japan. Platts, however, could not confirm exact volume, price or other details.

One South Korean trader said he was offered $10.05/lb ex-warehouse Busan, adding that he has not yet placed a firm bid.

A Chinese trader said he had offered $10/lb CIF main port Asia, but has not received any counter-bids.
