Walter Energy gets more time to negotiate takeover deal with Western Coal

The Winnipeg Free Press.com reports that  Western Coal (TSX:WTN) has extended the time for conversations with Walter Energy(NYSE:WLT) to further negiotiate a takeover deal.

The story is quoted as saying:

The announcement came as Walter Energy signed a $630-million deal to buy 54.5 million common shares of Western Coal, or about 19.8 per cent of the total, from Audley Capital, Western Coal’s largest shareholder.
