Upcoming Indian Power Projects To Be Supplied By Coal India

Reuters reported that new Indian power projects will be supplied by Coal India, under a condition set by the government. The conditions stipulate that a mix of 15 percent imported and 65 percent domestic coal could be used.

As quoted in the report:

India aims to add 88,000 megawatts of power generation capacity in the next five years, most to be fuelled by coal. Coal India will now be able to sign agreements to supply utilities developing 48 power projects, officials said.
