Thermal Coal Trades Slow on Weak Power Plant Demand

Platts reported that China power plants are holding out on thermal coal contracts.

As quoted in the market news:

Australian thermal coal, with a calorific value of 5,500 kcal/kg NAR, was offered this week at $95-96/mt FOB basis, or $109-110/mt CFR basis for January delivery, but few deals were done.
