Sherritt Purchases Remaining Interest in Coal Valley Partnership

Sherritt International Corporation (TSX:S) announced that it has purchased for $45.0 million the 50% interest of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board in Coal Valley Partnership, a 50/50 Ontario general partnership between Sherritt and OTPPB.

The press release is quoted as saying:

CVP owns 100% of Coal Valley Resources Inc., whose assets include the Coal Valley and Obed Mountain mines.
