Newcastle Spot Trade Low on Lack of China Demand

Platts reported that slow demand from China pushed spot coal prices at the Newcastle terminal down.

As quoted in the market news:

Higher calorific value 6,000 kcal/kg NAR Newcastle thermal coal was bid at $112.75/mt for a January-delivery Panamax cargo during Asian trading hours Wednesday, and a February parcel was offered at $113.25/mt FOB on globalCOAL.
