Platts assessed the price of Newcastle thermal coal with a calorific value of 5,500 kcal/kg and typical ash of 20% for loading in the next seven-45 day period, April 24-June 1, at $92.10/mt, down 30 cents on Tuesday’s close and a fourth consecutive on-day drop.
