Navajo Nation Settles Coal Mining Royalty Case

Business week reports that the Navajo Nation’s allegations that a coal mining company conspired with others to deprive the tribe out of millions of dollars has been settled in federal court.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Peabody mines coal on tribal lands in northeastern Arizona that supplies power plants on the Navajo reservation.
