Lower Demand Prompts Patriot coal to Idle Another Mine

Reuters reported that Patriot Coal (NYSE:PCX) will idle another mine as consumers switch to natural gas energy.

As quoted in the market news:

Clean-burning natural gas, whose prices had recently plunged to their cheapest relative to coal since 2009, is fast emerging as a replacement to coal for power generation.
