Huaneng Power says China coal pier project approved

Reuters.com reports that Huaneng Power International, the largest power producer in China, has been granted approval to proceed with its’ coal pier project in China’s Jiangsu province.

The story is quoted as saying:

The project will significantly enhance Huaneng’s ability to ensure coal supply and reduce its fuel costs and operational risk, the company said in a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
