Australian Mining reported that Glencore plc (LSE:GLEN) has submitted plans to extend the life of its Mount Owen mine in Hunter Valley.
As quoted in the market news:
Under the proposal the mine will produce 74 million tonnes of coal over the next 18 years.
The project will see Glencore build a rail overpass and a new dual lane bridge over Bowman’s creek.
It will also see the construction of an additional rail line and onsite infrastructure upgrades including the extension and improvements of the existing CHPP and coal stockpile facilities.
