Gladstone Port Operator Expects Coal Exports to Rebound in H2: CEO

Platts reported that demand is up for coal from the Gladstone port in Australia.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Gladstone port has the capacity to ship around 70 million mt/year of thermal and coking coal exports from its Barney Point and RG Tanna coal terminals, but severe flooding in early 2011 curtailed production at a number of its Queensland-based coal producer customers.
