Forbes to Restart Production After Labour Dispute Resolution

Mining Weekly reported that Forbes & Manhattan Coal would begin coal production again on Monday at its two South African Coal Mines, after they resolved a labour dispute.

As quoted in the market report:

However, the company said the labour unrest that started during mid-October over wage negotiations, which had resulted in the company suspending all operations at the Magdalena and Aviemore mines as well as the coal processing plants early this month after intensified labour unrest resulted in a fatality, had caused a 55% decline in coal production during the period.
