Court Rules in Favor of Xstrata’s Proposed Australian Coal Mine

Reuters reported that Xstrata (LSE:XTA) won a court case that challenged its plans to build the biggest coal mine in Australia.

As quoted in the market news:

The Land Court of Queensland said climate change on its own was not a good enough reason to justify refusing Xstrata a mining lease and that the economic benefits of the mine should also be taken into account.
