    Bloomberg.com reports that the EU commission is considering extending Coal-Mine subsidies until 2018.

    Bloomberg.com reports that the EU commission is considering extending Coal-Mine subsidies until 2018.

    The story is quoted as saying:

     “The commission’s new position accepts to allow operating aid for closure of the mines up to Dec. 31, 2018, provided that a plan mitigating the environmental impact of the use of coal is put in place and that there is a reduction in the amount granted each year,” the commission, the European Union regulator in Brussels, said today in a statement
