Coal India Misses April to September Production Target

The Economic Times reported that Coal India Ltd. (BSE:533278) missed its production target for April to September 2013 by 6 million tonnes as a result of a national strike, law and order conditions and a work stoppage.

As quoted in the market news:

Target for the period was fixed at 206 million tonnes while the company managed to produce 200 million tonnes during the period. It achieved a 4.7% growth against the required growth rate of about 7% in the same period.
