Coal Consumption in U.S. Increased 9.8% Last Week, Genscape Says

Bloomberg reported that US coal consumption was up nearly 10%.

The market news is quoted as saying:

The U.S., which holds the world’s largest reserves of coal, relies on the fuel for about 47 percent of its power generation, compared with about 23 percent for natural gas.
