China’s net coal import growth to ease; but appetite robust

The Business Spectator.com reports that Coal imports will be consumed at a slower pace by China in the near future.

Slower economic growth and power-saving measures would combine to moderate coal demand growth from steel mills and coal-fired power stations, analysts said, with some warning that any higher-than-expected increase in domestic output or increased hydropower could easily dampen their import forecasts.
