Central Appalachian Coal Sees Modest Losses Compared with Wider Energy Market

Platts reported that US coal should not experience the same losses that other energy stocks are enduring.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Both CAPP barge and CAPP rail (CSX) markets saw backwardation grow at the front of the curve, as prices slid further in Q4 than in September, the front month. Prices generally fell more in the front of the curve than in the back half.
