Australia’s Newcastle Port Coal Exports Rebound 40% on Week

Platts reported that exports from Australia’s Newcastle terminal enjoyed a rally last week.

As quoted in the market news:

In the seven-day period to 7 am Sydney time November 7, shipments rose 39.7% on the previous week to 2.6 million mt exported in 27 vessels. In the preceding week to October 31, Newcastle port shipped 1.86 million mt of coal exports in 20 ships, an 11-week low for coal export volumes.
