Australia Newcastle Thermal Coal Rises 1.5% to $124.32 a Ton

Bloomberg reported that prices of power-station coal at the Newcastle terminal increased by 1.5%.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Xstrata Plc (XTA), the world’s largest exporter of power-station coal, BHP Billiton Ltd. (BHP) and Rio Tinto Group are among mining companies that ship coal through Newcastle.
