Australia Newcastle Thermal Coal Rises 0.8% to $122.46 a Ton

Bloomberg reported that coal prices from the Newcastle port were up slightly on trading this week.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Xstrata Plc (XTA), the world’s largest exporter of power-station coal, BHP Billiton Ltd. (BHP) and Rio Tinto Group are among mining companies that ship coal through Newcastle.
