Atlantic Physical Coal Slips on Bearish Demand, Macroeconomics

Platts reported that weak demand caused Atlantic thermal coal prices to fall.

The market news is quoted as saying:

In the CIF ARA market, a September DES AR trade went through via the globalCOAL screen at $120.50/mt for 50,000 mt of generic-origin material. The trade had exchange of futures for physical (EFP) terms attached and was said to have been concluded between a northwest European utility and a trader.
