Americas Energy acquires Evans Coal Corporation

Americas Energy Company-AECo (OTCBB: AENY) reported that the company has completed the acquisition of Evans Coal Corporation.

The press release is quoted as saying:

“Finalizing the purchase of Evans Coal gives AENY access to more than 1,785 acres of Permitted Coal property. Our production capability has grown from 11,000 tons per month on our initial acquisition of the Upland Church operation to more than 50,000 tons of clean coal per month by the end of May 2010. We have finalized contract negotiations with our contract miner and plan to immediately begin surface mining operations on the Artemus property this week,” said Chris Headrick, President and CEO of Americas Energy Company.
