Indonesian Govt. Targeting Japanese Aluminum JV For Ownership Divestment

Mineweb reports PIP now has its sights set on Inalum aluminum JV and Nippon Ashan Aluminum.

Indonesia’s Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry confirmed it is investigating a “soft” loan Newmont Nusa Tenggara made to Indonesia Masbaga Investama, allegedly so Newmont could retain IMI’s votes after the company completes its divestment.
