Alcan Cable Plans to Invest Another $40 Million In Tianjin Plant

On Tuesday, a spokesman of Alcan (Tianjin) confirms that for the next few year, Alcan Cable will invest another $40 million in its Chinese aluminum alloy plant, Alcan (Tianjin) Alloy Products Co.

The press release is quoted as saying:

“The plant, Alcan Cable’s manufacturing facility in China, started operations April 2009 after receiving an initial $60 million from Alcan, with a goal of maintaining the largest market share (of 80%) in the Chinese aluminum alloy market.”
