Lifespan of Jwaneng mine to be extended beyond 2024

Mining Review.com reports that the Jwaneng diamond mine, one of the richest diamond mines in the world, will likely have it’s lifespan extended beyond 2024.  The mine is equally owned by de Beers and Botswana.

The story quotes as saying:

The de Beers statement issued here said the envisaged extension, which would be known as Cut 9, might prolong the life of the open pit, 350m deep mine up to 2030.
