India’s Oct. Polished Exports +38%

Diamonds.net reports that polished Diamond Exports from India  have increased by 38% , year-on-year in October.

The story is quoted as saying:

India’s polished diamond exports rose 38 percent year on year to $2.07 billion in October 2010, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported. By volume the exports increased 29 percent to 5.118 million carats as the average price of the polished grew 7 percent to $403.5 per carat
