Diamcor Mining Recovers First Gem Quality “Special” Diamond from Krone-Endora at Venetia

Diamcor Mining Inc. (TSXV:DMI) recovered the first gem quality “special” diamond in the +10.8 carat category from its Krone-Endora at Venetia Project. The diamond’s near perfect octahedron shape is extremely rare and not typically seen in diamonds of this size.

 Diamcor Mining Inc. (TSXV:DMI) recovered the first gem quality “special” diamond in the +10.8 carat category from its Krone-Endora at Venetia Project. The diamond’s near perfect octahedron shape is extremely rare and not typically seen in diamonds of this size.

As quoted in the press release:

The recovery of the 91.65 carat gem quality octahedron diamond occurred during the ongoing commissioning and processing being performed on material in the +1.0mm to -26.0mm size fraction. The Company is in the process of having the diamond assessed by an independent expert for quality and colour characteristics, but anticipates this is the most significant diamond recovered to date from the Project.

Diamcor Mining Inc. President and CEO, Dean Taylor, said:

We are very pleased with the recovery of a diamond of this size and quality, which again confirms the potential of the Project to produce large quality diamonds. In addition to its overall size, its’ near perfect octahedron shape is extremely rare and not typically seen in diamonds of this size.
