Canadian Business reported Peninsula Energy (ASX:PEN) is planning to begin building a uranium mine and processing plant in northeastern Wyoming.
As quoted int he market news:
Peninsula Energy says the plant near Moorcroft would be able to process up to 3 million pounds of the uranium oxide known as yellowcake each year.
However, the Casper Star-Tribune reported Monday that Peninsula Energy still needs to get several more key permits before it can begin construction. They include a source material license from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and a mine permit from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality.
