The “Together Against Uranium” event will take place the day before the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission’s begins public hearings (June 5 and 6 in Mistissini, and 7 in Chibougamau), about Strateco’s advanced uranium exploration project. The project is proceeding through federal regulatory approvals despite having been rejected by the Mistissini Cree, despite serious deficiencies in the company’s environmental impact statement and despite the lack of a decision from the provincial review panel.
