Minister Says Canada Won’t Change Policy on Uranium Ownership

Reuters reported that Canada does not have plans to alter its policy on foreign ownership of uranium mines, according to Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver.

As quoted in the market news:

We don’t have any plans to change the rule, which is a maximum of 49 percent foreign ownership in the development of uranium, and that’s a longstanding policy,” Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver told reporters on Monday.
