    Reuters Africa reported China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corp (CGNPC) said it will begin operations at its Namibia uranium mine in 2015.

    Reuters Africa reported China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corp (CGNPC) said it will begin operations at its Namibia uranium mine in 2015.

    As quoted in the market news:

    CGNPC gained control of the Husab mine in southern Africa earlier this year after taking over Kalahari Minerals and Extract Resources in a deal worth about $2.3 billion.

    Commodity-hungry China has been ramping up efforts to meet its growing energy needs, with African mineral resources playing an increasingly important role.
