Australian Green Party wants to Tax Gold, Uranium

Mining Weekly reported the Australian Green Party has renewed its efforts to have the government include uranium in its mineral resources rent tax.

As quoted in the market news:

Greens leader Bob Brownsaid on Thursday that the Treasury needed to reconsider extending the mining tax across gold and uranium, as well as other minerals, while the nexus with royalties should be dropped.
