Questerre Energy Corp. (TSX:QEC) announced its operating and financial results for the first quarter of 2012 and reported that it made a significant oil shale investment this quarter.
Michael Binnion, President and CEO of Questerre, said,
Our significant investment in oil shale at the end of the first quarter capped a year of looking for new high-impact projects. Our recently acquired assets could add in excess of several hundred million barrels in resources, complementing our multi-Tcf discovery in Quebec. Our goal for the next two years is to move these assets along the learning curve towards commercial development.
