China Shortlists Six Firms for Shale Gas Block Auction-Xinhua

Reuters Africa reports that China has short-listed six firms for its first auction of shale gas exploration blocks.

The market news is quoted as saying:

The six firms include state oil giants PetroChina , Sinopec , CNOOC Ltd , as well as Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group, China United Coal Bed Methane Co., and Henan Provincial Coal Seam Gas Development and Utilization Co., it said without giving further details.
