A joint venture between Brisbane-based Broughton Minerals and Orion Metals is believed to be the first to start looking for uranium since the Newman Government scrapped the ban on the industry earlier this year.
Although it is early in the exploration, Orion said rock chip sampling recorded “some very significant uranium and rare earth element” anomalies.
