Short Sellers Place Record Bet on Molycorp as Rare Earths Sink

Bloomberg reported that predictions rare earth prices will continue their decline prompted investors to short sell Molycorp (NYSE:MCP).

As quoted in the market news:

About 19 percent of Molycorp shares outstanding were sold short on Nov. 28, up from 7.2 percent at the beginning of the year, according to the most recent data from Data Explorers, a New York-based research firm.
