Local Chinese Governments Launch Campaign to Crack Down on Illegal Rare Earth Activity

China Daily reported that local Chinese governments have launched a three-month campaign to draw attention to their role in cracking down on illegal activity in the rare earth industry.

As quoted in the market report:

The campaign, which will last from August 15 to November 15, is intended to reduce illegal exploration, production and distribution of  rare earth metals and regulate rare earth recycling enterprises, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said in a statement on its website.
