Jiangxi Will Speed Up Rare Earth Production to Meet Demand

Bloomberg reported that Jiangxi Copper (HSE:0358) said it will ramp up rare earth output in Sichuan due to increased export demand.

Jiangxi Chairman Li Yihuang said:

Output of rare-earth oxide at the Mianning mine will eventually reach 50,000 metric tons a year. When the project is completed, Jiangxi Copper will be among the country’s three largest rare-earth producers.
