Cache Exploration Inc. (TSXV:CAY) reports that a preliminary geological assessment and rock sampling program was completed in early August on the three Cache properties in the Stewart gold-silver-copper, District of British Columbia.

The press release is quoted as saying:

The Quinn Eskay Property is a group of four claims covering 4,349 acres located 50km northwest of the town of Stewart, BC and 10km northwest of the Granduc Mine, which is historically reported as producing 15.2 million tonnes of gold, silver, and copper ore. The claims are predominantly metasediments and metavolcanics of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group and granitoid rocks of the Eocene Coast Plutonic Complex. During this sampling and reconnaissance field program, a large gossaniferous zone was identified with a mixture of various rock types that have been hornfelsed and locally silicified. This zone is estimated to have a minimum strike length of 300 metres with an approximate width of 50 metres. Skarnoid rocks have been identified with local disseminated pyrite. Samples taken from this zone and other areas within the property include 19 grab samples and two channel samples, which are all currently being analyzed by instrumental neutron activation (INAA) at Activation Laboratories Inc. Skarn related gold and silver mineralization has been noted on the Doc Property 2km to the north with published results of assays up to 44.66 g/t Gold and 219 g/t Silver.

Cache’s President and CEO,  Mr. George A. Brown says:

“We are very pleased with the findings of our crew on these properties, particularly the skarn-related mineralization recently exposed by the melting glacier. We will be anxiously looking forward to receiving the assay results from the lab.”
