Japan Makers Lose Top Lithium Battery Market Share to South Korea Firms

The Mainichi Daily News reported that South Korea increased its market share of shipments of lithium batteries.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Samsung SDI Co. and LG Chem Ltd. had a combined global market share of 42.6 percent in the period, compared with 33.7 percent held by Japanese makers such as Sanyo Electric Co. and Sony Corp., said Techno Systems Research Co.
