Dajin Resources Corp. (TSXV:DJI) reported that it has completed a program of Quaternary mapping and sampling at its Addie 1 gold property located adjacent to and south east of the Spanish Mountain gold discovery.
As quoted in the press release:
High gold concentrations found at all of these sites in earlier programs were reproduced in the 2011 sampling program, usually with higher gold contents than the original soil gold values. The gold was determined to occur mainly in colluvial sediments and weathered bedrock that originated either in place or short distances upslope from the sample locations. One of the important findings of the study is that samples collected from deeper soil horizons commonly contain greater and more representative quantities of gold. An important conclusion of the study is that the thin till cover on gentle slopes adjacent to the gold anomalies may well mask significant gold source areas that remain undetected on the property under soils where the depth of sampling was insufficiently deep.
