Leading Edge Materials Announces Director and Officer Appointments

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(Marketwired – Sept. 9, 2016) – Leading Edge Materials Corp. (“Leading Edge Materials“) and/or (the “Company“) (TSX VENTURE:LEM)(OTCQB:LEMIF) announces the appointment of Mr. Mikael Ranggard as an independent director and member of the Company’s Audit Committee, and the appointment of Mr. Michael Hudson as non-executive Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Ranggard holds a law degree from Uppsala University, Sweden, and has an extensive professional career working with foreign and local Swedish mining companies since 1990. In addition, Mr. Ranggard has experience as board member of various public and private companies and a wealth of knowledge in Canadian capital markets. From 2011 to 2015, Mr. Ranggard served as Chairman of the Company’s subsidiary, Woxna Graphite AB, and is currently Senior Legal Advisor to the Company.
Mr. Hudson is a founding director of the Company and a member of the Company’s Audit Committee. Mr. Hudson is the founding President, CEO and director of Mawson Resources Limited (“Mawson“) (TSX:MAW), positions he has held since March 2004. In addition, Mr. Hudson was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Mawson in February 2008. Starting his career as an underground mine geologist in Broken Hill in 1990, for the last 16 years Mr. Hudson has been actively developing junior exploration companies in the Canadian and Australian markets. Mr. Hudson graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1991 with a B.Sc. (Honours 1^st) in Geology and has a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment through the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA). He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and Member of both the Society for Economic Geologists and Australian Institute of Geoscientists.
