Western Areas (TSX:WSA,ASX:WSA) announced a new mineral resources estimate at Spotted Quoll.
As quoted in the press release:
The revised Mineral Resource for Spotted Quoll now comprises a total Indicated Resource of 2,515,200tonnes at an average grade of 6.0% nickel for 151,500tns nickel and an Inferred Resource of 539,700 tonnes at 5.1% nickel for 27,500tns nickel (179,000tns total nickel).
This represents an increase of 78% in reported contained nickel metal compared to the figures last reported in the September 2011 Quarterly Report.
