Mirabela Nickel Ltd. (TSX:MNB,ASX:MBN) provided updated guidance for 2013, noting that this year it expects to produce 17,000 to 18,500 tonnes of nickel in concentrate, down from its previous estimate of 22,000 to 24,000 tonnes.
According to the company’s press release, the reduced estimate is due to:

- Current disruptions to the supply of nitrate in Brazil which is restricting the supply of explosives to the Company; and
- Ongoing maintenance and remediation works to the primary crusher.
