From Rags to Riches at South Africa Iron Ore Mine

Financial Post reported life is about to get a lot better for workers at iron ore mines in the Kalahari desert.

As quoted in the market news:

Thanks to an employee share ownership scheme, the 47-year-old, who earns 7,000 rand (US$835) a month, is about to receive a 576,045-rand (US$68,700) windfall.
