Jimmy Wilson, BHP Billiton’s iron ore chief, was paid USD $4.2 million in cash and shares in the last financial year as pay freezes continue for management.

According to The West Australian:

BHP Billiton’s WA iron ore chief Jimmy Wilson earned $US4.2 million in cash and shares last financial year.

Mr. Wilson’s remuneration was disclosed today with the release of BHP’s annual report, which also revealed continued pay freezes in base salaries for group chief executive Andrew Mackenzie and his leadership team.

Mr.Wilson earned $US1 million in base salary and also pocketed a $US951,000 short-term bonus.
